Mastering your IDE is more than just knowing how to open, close, save files. Mastering means replacing every instance of having to reach for your mouse with a keyboard shortcut. Fortunately, Github, the makers of the Atom IDE understand this. Atom has literally dozens of keyboard shortcuts from as mundane (but useful) as moving to the end of the current line, to being able to jump to the definition of a function, any function, in your code.
I’ve added the first of several Atom sets to LearnShortcuts today. ‘Atom Shortcuts and Tricks’ is just the start of the hundred or so commands you’ll need to learn to be a competent developer, so expect to see more Atom sets soon!
